Global KAIZEN™ Award 5^th Edition presented in Lisbon, Portugal

The stage was set, excitement was in the air, and anticipation grew as the audience eagerly awaited the announcement of the Global KAIZEN™ Award 5th edition recipients. About 200 guests gathered at Nova School of Business & Economics in Carcavelos, Lisbon, Portugal for the Global KAIZEN™ Award 5th Edition on November 21, 2023 to celebrate the finalists of the category “Excellence in Applying KAIZEN™ Principles” for their significant, innovative, and effective implementation of KAIZEN™ principles and practices.

The mission of the Global KAIZEN™ Awards program is to annually recognize organizations that are leaders of implementing Continuous Improvement efforts and to inspire the KAIZEN™ community.

KAIZEN™ is not a destination. It is a continuous journey that requires constant commitment, hard work, and perseverance over time. Celebrating successes and milestones inspires a sense of joy and encouragement, which leads to strong people engagement and increased motivation.

The KAIZEN™ methodology has been applied across all economic sectors worldwide and this year’s nominations for the Global KAIZEN™ Award 5th edition reflect just that – the broad and diverse applicability of KAIZEN™ across all industries and sectors. The thorough and comprehensive assessment was conducted by both Kaizen Institute’s local business units and the Global KAIZEN™ Award Assessment Committee.

During the Award ceremony, Ardagh Glass was presented with the 1st Place Global KAIZEN™ Award 5th Edition for demonstrating Excellence in implementing a Continuous Improvement system and engaging the entire workforce in the process. They have successfully built a culture of Continuous Improvement with the involvement of employees at every level of the organization, taking a strategic approach in accordance with the KAIZEN™ methodology.

On behalf of Ardagh Glass, Mariusz Petrow and Patryk Grzempa received the 1^st Place Global KAIZEN™ Award.

Tecumseh do Brasil Ltda. was awarded with the 2^nd Place Global KAIZEN™ Award. Eduardo Almeida and Felipp Gonçalves Willy received the award on behalf of Tecumseh do Brasil.

ITC Limited Foods Division was awarded with the 3^rd Place Global KAIZEN™ Award. Shirish Yadav, Partha Bhattachrjee and Deepak Desai received the Award on behalf of ITC Foods Division.

Shell plc was awarded with the Global KAIZEN™ Award – Category MNC. Sanchay Roy received the award on behalf of Shell.

While we congratulate the recipients of the Global KAIZEN™ Awards ceremony, it is important to emphasize that all nominees are considered winners. They have effectively adopted the systems and concepts of the KAIZEN™ framework to improve their organizations, thereby contributing tremendously to national and global efforts to improve organizational performance across all sectors.
