ESG Initiative – KAIZEN™ D&I Program
Kaizen Institute joined the United Nations Global Compact in January 2020 to enhance corporate social responsibility and sustainability policies within the company. Kaizen Institute is committed to contribute towards the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. A dedication to its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) commenced with a “Gender Equality” (SDG 5) and “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (SDG 8) programs to make a difference in the world and within the organization.
At Kaizen Institute we believe that it is our duty as a consulting firm to address gender equality and emerging diversity in our daily lives. With employees of different nationalities and a presence in 40+ countries, cultural agility is very important to us. In a globalized market, diversity in a company goes beyond respecting and accepting differences. It is fundamental to understand that a team with diverse profiles is richer in talent, improves the company’s results, and contributes to business success.
The ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiative, KAIZEN™ Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Program, includes customized Continuous Improvement content to equip people with the cultural knowledge, understanding, and skill to prepare them to contribute effectively within an organization through culture improvement, respect, innovation, and gender balance through effective teamwork. We recruit competent and motivated people who respect our values, provide equal opportunities for their development and advancement, and protect their privacy. We do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination. Our commitment to equal opportunity begins at the recruitment process and continues to the end of the professional relationship.
Reducing inequalities and ensuring that no one is left behind, are integral to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a harmonious, prosperous, and sustainable world. Diversity and inclusion is the art of being ourselves in being together, sincerely respecting each other. A diverse group of people from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences, has the power and potential to transform the workplace and the world by sharing the same mission, vision, and values.
Through this initiative the members of our organization can learn together to develop understanding of, and appreciation for the communication and social behavior differences between cultures and how to adapt, ensuring integration and equality for all people.
