At Kaizen Institute, we are proud participants of the United Nations Global Compact. As part of our participation, we have been recognizing diversity and inclusion related days that are acknowledged internationally. We encourage everyone to engage in international days and events that push for greater equality. Voting, volunteering, protesting, and learning more about human rights will benefit the world and everyone living in it. Here is a summary of the human rights related days that we acknowledged with our team. We hope that you’re motivated to learn more about everyone’s rights and inspired to share these days with your own team.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women – 25 November

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is a day to recall the need for a violence-free future. We encouraged our team to learn more about the significance of ending violence against women and how they can help create discussions and find solutions.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities – 3 December

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a day to support persons with disabilities’ participation towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable future. Many persons with disabilities are facing greater inequalities because of COVID-19. We encouraged our team to learn how they can support persons with disabilities’ participation towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable future.

Human Rights Day – 10 December

Human Rights Day is a day to celebrate and fight for human rights for everyone. We encouraged our team to learn more about human rights and how to support those who are robbed of them by other people. Regardless of our race, status, origin, religion or opinion, we all have the same rights and should be treated equally as such.

International Migrants Day – 18 December

International Migrants Day is a day to learn more about immigration and how to help migrants. We encouraged our team to learn and teach others, especially now with extra barriers due to COVID-19. More migrants are losing jobs, facing mobility restrictions, and increasing risks of exploitation because of the pandemic.

International Human Solidarity Day – 20 December

International Human Solidarity Day is a day to celebrate our unity in diversity. We encouraged our team to learn more about human solidarity and how to promote it. It’s important that we all work together for the greater good of future generations.
