On the 25th of June, the CI Community will be hosting a Benchmark Tour at Coca-Cola Karlsruhe in Germany. This onsite tour provides an immersive experience of how KAIZEN™ is implemented at this Food & Beverages Manufacturing Company.

What can you expect to see? 

The Coca-Cola Karlsruhe Benchmark Tour offers a unique in-person look behind the scenes at the day-to-day operations of a true KAIZEN™ plant.

Program

  • 10:00 am Welcome/Introduction of Coca-Cola and OE within the plant to the participants
  • 10:45 am Gemba Visit OE in the Filling area with AM, SFM called PME, Line View, and OE Room (Obeya Room)
  • 11:45 am Gemba visit to Logistics with OE logistics roadmap and examples
  • 01:00 pm Lunch
  • 01:45 pm Open questions, discussions, and feedback with the group
  • 02:30 pm KI committee intern learnings and feedback
  • 04:00 pm Closing

During the tour, you will learn more about:

  • Creating a continuous improvement culture
  • Standardizing KAIZEN™ processes
  • 5s and visual management
  • People management
  • Just-in-time (JIT), Kanban System, stock management
  • A lot more!

  • A BUS will pick you up at the designated meet-up point and transfer you directly to the Coca-Cola Karlsruhe plant
  • Lunch is included in the visit
  • The IPE (Individual Protection Equipment) requirements are safety shoes and glasses. Coca-Cola will provide the remaining at the plant upon arrival
